MALO SAMOA - my holiday in Samoa

My family went to Samoa for the holidays.  We went to Savai’i Island first and then the main island, Upolu.  I did lots of snorkelling, swimming and kayaking.  I saw amazing, bright blue starfish when I snorkelled.  It was a fantastic holiday!

Mum and I walked to the little village shop with a pig!  The shop sold pink bread and orange coloured bread!
Pink tuna sandwiches – yum
Our beautiful beach on Savai’i Island
We went to a turtle pond and hand-fed the turtles fresh papaya (pawpaw).
The buses are very colourful
We watched the locals play volleyball in a small village
There are pigs and piglets everywhere. They are very friendly.

These men are play kilikiti – a Samoan version of cricket. They were playing in a big competition with lots of other teams. Vincent bought two kilikiti balls from the market. The balls are made from all parts of a coconut

We went to a cave that was filled with fresh water. You climbed up the cliff and jumped off it into the deep pool. It was so much fun!

  1. Hi Connie and Vincent
It was very nice to be able to see the photos of your holiday in Samoa. It looks like you had a fantastic time. Thank you Connie for the very informative commentary. I went on holiday to a beach in Hawkes Bay while you were in Samoa but it was so cold Rachel and I had to wear jackets, hats and gloves. No jumping into the water for us.
    Love Sue xx
